Pardon Our Dust . . . Construction Zone Ahead

That's right! I haven't posted anything for a whole month because we are getting our home ready to sell. It has been crazy and dusty as we have begun this process. I have been going through totes and bins, organizing and cleaning cupboards, discarding junk, deliberating over things to keep or sell and deciding what we can put into storage and live without for 6 months. The kids are suddenly loving every single toy they own and arguing that they really play with them ALL THE TIME so "we can't give those away, Mom!" Joe is busy patching holes, painting over knicked corners, installing blinds, repainting our beautiful red kitchen :( and putting in a brand new back door that ended up being too tall for the old space. (That was supposed to be a quick 2 hour project that turned into a 8 hour project and all the while Katelyn was fearful that we would be sleeping in our house without a back door all night) Needless to say we are in a major construction zone and also in speed mode trying to get everything done by the middle of next week so that I can scrub and clean everything spotless and get the sign in the front yard by next weekend. All in all I can say that we have learned a lot by making our first home purchase. We have made mistakes but also lots of accomplishments and look forward to doing it all over again this summer!
