These are just some fun pictures that I've taken over the last few months that need to be added into our history.
BURNING SCOUT CAMPOUT
Our ward's entire scout troop headed out to Amargosa Sand Dunes for the highly anticipated "Burning Scout" camp-out. Our good friend, Mike Hathaway, had a grand scheme of building the biggest bonfire ever on a camp-out. He had been gathering materials for weeks--old Christmas trees, pallets, boxes, wood, etc. and loading it onto his trailer to pull out to the dunes. The boys were so excited.
Clark was so worried about the cold so he prepared for it with scarves, multiple shirts, gloves, and hats. Here is the prepped fire starter materials.
They started a trail of gasoline leading up to the bonfire. When it was lit, the wood exploded and the boys were ecstatic. We have a video of it and it is so funny to listen to all the men and boys yelling, laughing, and exclaiming over the "biggest bonfire ever"! Some of the leaders were trying to get as close as they could to the fire, taunting each other and flexing their muscles. Bishop Reese was the closest and his coat started to melt because it was so hot. Good thing he is a surgeon!
Jake LOVES to build Lego sets and display his creations. He is so independent and puts them together very quickly. What a guy!

I walked downstairs and saw this little masterpiece on my table. Carlee had colored the paper and matched different Lego pieces of our Christmas village to the papers. I'm not sure what the point or reason was for doing it but at least she knows colors and matching. She has quite the imagination.
I love taking pictures of everybody sleeping after our family movie nights.
Clark is headed off to an airsoft war one morning during Christmas break with his new gun.
Katelyn is sporting some new fancy curlers that Aunt Steph used in her hair (I can't find the after pic!)

Joe was flying in from North Dakota so we met him at Town Square for dinner and Christmas returns. We played at the park while we waited. It was cold but the wind stopped, luckily.

It got so cold for a couple of weeks that there was a layer of ice on our pool for about 3 days. The kids were so disappointed that it wasn't thick enough for them to go ice skating.
Carlee just looks extra cute for school today.
Jake received a journal from Cub Scouts and gave us all fair warning about reading it, "Jake's Journal: Keep Out! No one aloud. If you touch, you will pay. P.S. This is a awesome journal"

AUDREY'S BIRTHDAY GNO
Katelyn's friend, Audrey, had a birthday night out at Caesar's Palace and Jackie asked me to help chaperone. We took the girls to Cheesecake Factory, shopping at the Gap, and at H&M. Then they all went back to Audrey's for a sleepover. All week I had been teasing Katelyn and Audrey that Jackie had asked me to sleep over too. They were so concerned that I was actually going to do it and thought I was so weird. They were quite relieved when I got in my car and went home.

Carlee celebrated 100 days of school by designing a project with 100 items. Unfortunately I didn't read the directions very well and we didn't separate the items into groups of 10 so she didn't "meet the standard" for her project. Luckily, she is just in Kindergarten and this won't be held against her. However, she rocked her oral presentation explaining what it was about and counting but the actual project wasn't quite up to the specifications. Oops! We should have done our original plan of a rainbow of buttons and marshmallow clouds but originality won over practicality in the end.
More silly sleeping pictures that they hate and I love . . . Oftentimes I find Clark asleep with his headphones on listening to ESPN Sports Center and I have to untangle him when I check on the kids before I go to bed. It is difficult because he is getting so big and heavy.
These kids can sleep anywhere, anyway, and through anything. They are hard players, hard workers, and hard sleepers. Love these children of mine!
