Dare to Dream

Joe was off interviewing for his fellowship and Clark was on a camp-out so I decided at the last minute to take Carlee on a date and buy tickets to Disney on Ice: Dare to Dream.  When I explained my idea to Katelyn and Jacob and told them that they would have to stay home, they decided that they wanted to come too.  I was surprised because Katelyn is getting older and Jake is, well, a boy!  So I got tickets for the four of us and we headed to the Thomas and Mack Center to watch the ice skating show.

It was the three stories of Tiana in "Princess and the Frog", "Cinderella", and Rapunzel in "Tangled".  They were all great but our favorite was definitely Rapunzel.  It is my all-time favorite Disney princess movie too.  Long yellow silky fabrics hung from the ceiling and Flynn and Rapunzel did lots of stunts and swinging from the fabric while skating.  It was so fun!
Favorite Disney characters Donald, Goofy, Mickey, and Minnie came out and introduced each story and new dream.
Then all the princes and princesses came out to celebrate the wedding of Flynn and Rapunzel.  Carlee was so excited to see all of her favorite princesses.
After the show, we went to lunch at Thai Basil.  Carlee and Jake ate California rolls and chicken satay while Katelyn and I got Bento Boxes full of yummy Thai stuff!  It was a great date with my kiddos!
Carlee is a pro at using chopsticks.  I surely could learn something from her.
