We kicked off our Spring Break by making a day trip up to St. George. We were dying to meet our new little nephew and cousin, Jordan. We spent the morning shopping at our favorite stores and tried a new restaurant, The Painted Pony, for lunch. Then we spent the afternoon hanging out with Steph, Ty, Madi, and baby Jordan (Jim was at work) before heading home that evening.
On Wednesday morning, we loaded up our trailer for its camping debut and headed out to Dumont Sand Dunes with the Hathaways, Flanagans and the Stevensons, who joined us on Friday. That evening, we arrived in time to set up our campsite, have dinner, and just hang out by the fire. It was a beautiful night with a full moon and without wind or excessive heat. It was perfect.
During the rest of the week, we had great plans of outdoor movies, playing in the sand, four-wheeling
all day long, Razor rides with Mike and Chris, yummy food and Dutch
Oven dinners, lots of games, relaxing, and coloring Easter eggs.
Jacob, Audrey, Katelyn (in the back); Evan and Mike (in the front)
Everybody loading up for some Razor rides
Chris and Jacob in the Flanagan's Razor and Chelsea on the quad
Joe and Clark riding in the dune buggy
Playing games and relaxing before bed.
Carlee slept in the Hathaway's trailer with Ava

Friday morning we woke up to another day of fun in the sun and sand.

Jackie is all dressed up for a ride!
Mike is taking me and the older girls for a ride. Yippee!
Hopefully we can keep up with Chris and the little girls.
And the rest of the group is either playing in the sand at the campsite or riding along on their quads.
Here is Joe on his bike and Jackie on her quad.
Clark is trying to climb that hill. He got stuck about 2/3 of the way up and ended up losing steam, flipping over, and rolling backwards. He was just fine but should have turned out of it and headed down the dune instead of trying to climb all the way to the top.
Right side up and ready to keep going
Chris got a little high-centered on one of the big dunes.
This is Santa's mailbox at the North Pole. However, we didn't leave any letters. Next time.
And this is the North Pole
Jake stayed back at the campsite to play in the sand with some of the other kids.
Here comes Kate
Yay! The Stevensons are here! Let's roast some s'mores!
Watching "Nacho Libre" They are all so thrilled with my bright flash.
Nighty-night, ladies!
Saturday morning, we woke up to a cloud cover and some cool temperatures. It was so fun to wear jackets first thing in the morning and drink hot chocolate for breakfast!
And they are already off and wheeling!
Katelyn, Audrey, and Lexi
Kate got a little stuck. Luckily, Audrey was there to help her out!
We colored Easter eggs before packing up, loading, and heading out.
And we're off!
On the way home, we suffered a little mishap. As we pulled around to dump our waste and trash at the RV dump, Joe hit the corner of the cement slab and popped a nice hole in his tire. After several minutes of searching for the hole in the bumper to line up the jack to lower the spare, we finally got the spare tire on the truck and were on our way home. Luckily, we had Mike, our trusty hometeacher, there to provide some service! We had such a great time on our first trip to the dunes!
