Easter Morning

We woke up early and decided to celebrate Easter after church.  When the kids were dressed and ready to go, they went downstairs for breakfast and took a quick peek at their Easter baskets.  Then we headed off to church where the kids had to sing in a small group during sacrament meeting.  The bishopric gave some wonderful talks about the Savior and resurrection and it was a perfect Easter Sunday meeting.

When we got home from church, the kids changed and checked out their Easter baskets.  Clark got Harry Potter: The Deathly Hallows part 1 and some new baseball batting gloves.  Katelyn and Jacob both got new roller blades for playing Skubic in the street, and Carlee got a bath Barbie and some beads to make her own jewelry.  Joe got a new golf club and I got a dutch oven for our future campouts ;)

We then headed outside in the yard for the Easter Egg Hunt and all the kids found 15 eggs full of candy and treasures.  Carlee had all the candy gone from her eggs and basket before bedtime!

The kids had to search high and low to find all of the eggs.

We then prepared our Easter meal of ham, roasted veggies, colorful deviled eggs (Kate and Carlee's masterpiece), fresh fruit, banana bread, and OREO cake.  Everything was delicious.
The pride and joy of the dinner table

HAPPY EASTER!
