Happy Birthday, Jacob!

Jake celebrated his 8th birthday this year and was so excited.  He has been talking about getting baptized and going to Cub Scouts for months and he couldn't wait for the big day.  At eight years old, Jake . . .

*Loves to play BeyBlades with Clark and any friends that come over
*Loves to play soccer
*Loves to play Roblox, an online game, against his friends
*Loves to read and do math
*Loves to stay home instead of run errands or go anywhere
*Hates doing chores and work around the house
*Loves to wear hooded long sleeved t-shirts
*Hates to wear polo shirts
*Hates to put his backpack, shoes, and jacket in his locker
*Loves to throw his dirty sweaty socks anywhere on the floor
*Loves to drink water
*Loves sushi, lasagna, banana bread, cinnamon rolls, and A to Z muffins
*Loves to snuggle to watch movies and will actually hold still while doing it
*Loves to play with action figures while he lays in bed before falling asleep
*Loves to make sound effects, talk trash, and do dance moves while playing any type of electronic game
*Loves to be a sweet big brother to Carlee
*Loves to hang out with Clark and his friends
*Likes to act cool when the neighborhood girls come over to see if he can play
*Is really popular with friends.  People really enjoy being around him
*Loves to ask deep, thoughtful questions to understand why and how
*Is an extremely smart kid and an excellent reader
*Loves to ride his bike to school
*Loves to eat healthy snacks and food.  Definitely not a sweet tooth, unless it's brownies.
*Loves frozen breakfast foods--Eggo waffles, french toast sticks, breakfast sandwiches with sausage
*Loves to be with his dad because he thinks they look just alike
*Loves Tom and Jerry cartoons and slap-stick comedy (like the Three Amigos, America's Funniest Home Videos, and Wipeout)
*Loves playing the piano and really wants to play the organ someday
*Has listened and learned some of "Mom's secrets" so he actually does them and knows they work
We took him out for his birthday dinner at Olive Garden the weekend before so he requested spaghetti pie for his homemade dinner.  He also requested a chocolate bundt cake with chocolate frosting--nothing special or fancy, just plain and simple.
Here is Jake's requested chocolate bundt cake.  He was actually pretty excited that it looked like a donut.  He loves chocolate cake donuts!

Jake didn't get his electric scooter until the next day.  It was sitting on the front porch when he arrived home from school.  Man, was he excited!  He has been asking for this since last Christmas!
Lots of fun presents--electric scooter, scout shirt, scriptures, an "epic" bey blade, and some books.
Happy Birthday, Jakey!  Love you!
