Last Day of School

The last day of school was Wednesday, June 5th so off I went with my camera to get pictures of the kids with their teachers and friends.  The first class I visited was Carlee's Kindergarten.

Next, I moved on to Third Grade to visit Jacob.  His class is divided in half with Mrs. Brock teaching the reading and writing portion and Mr. Harenberg teaching the Math portion.  About halfway through each day, they switch classrooms to the other teacher.  The Brock-Harenberg team are amazing and we have been lucky enough to have them for both Katelyn and Jake.

 Jake, Connor Blednick, and Donovan

I then went up to 5th grade.  Everyone knew that this was going to be a sad day.  This class has been together with Mrs. Montgomery through 4th and 5th grade so they were pretty upset to be finally splitting apart.  Lots of tears were shed by EVERYONE this day.
Mrs. Montgomery had the kids write their wishes for middle school in the balloons to let go outside.
 Malina and Katelyn
Mrs. Montgomery gave a speech about striving for your dreams and makes wishes come true.  Then she got choked up and the tears started . . .
One second they were sobbing and the next they were giggling at each other's tears

Melissa and I had put together a slide show of the kids and their school activities together
for the last two years and we showed it to the class and gave each student a copy.
They laughed, cried, laughed, cried, and loved it.
Mrs. Montgomery then gave out class awards for their achievements during 5th grade.
