Family Reunion 2011-Day 5

Our last day in Brigham was spent finishing the treehouse fort, helping Grandpa with yardwork and chores, drawing with sidewalk chalk, playing dress-ups and putting on shows, driving four-wheelers, playing with the dogs, playing in the neighbor's yard on their swingset, riding horses, and soaking up every last minute with cousins.  We had a wonderful reunion this year and look forward to next year's!

Megan and Carlee loved leaving artwork for Grandma and Grandpa
Man, this girl loves to ride!  Luckily Grandpa has some horses.  She is a natural!

Family Reunion 2011-Day 3 and 4

Monday morning we awoke, fed breakfast to the army, dressed in swimsuits, packed bags of towels, sunscreen, water bottles and a big picnic lunch for all of us to share at Lagoon.  We spent the day at the Waterpark.  Our family had never done the waterpark before so we had a great time enjoying the slides, lazy river, and kiddie pools with our cousins.
Tuesday we had the same morning but instead of hitting the waterpark, we spent the day riding the rides and winning prizes at the arcades.  Uncle Joe and Uncle Charlie love those arcades and the kids love that they win them all kinds of stuffed animals.  Jake even got lucky himself by throwing a ring around the bottle and won a gigantic Papa Smurf!

Aunt Carrie and I traded off with Carlee and Megan on the kiddie rides.  These two are quite the pair and they had so much fun together.  They rode Puff the Magic Dragon at least 10 times!

They were quite the little drivers and rode the cars at least three times.
I convinced Clark to take Carlee on the swings.  I can only ride that once.

My cute girls riding Puff on time #8?
After Lagoon, we all headed to Texas Roadhouse for dinner and then went to John and Tara's house to play football (the boys) and get feathers in our hair (girls).  They were so sweet to let about 20 people bombard their house.  We had a great time with them.

Family Reunion 2011-Day 2

After church on Sunday, we headed down to Salt Lake City to visit Heritage Park and This is the Place Monument with Charlie, JaNay, and their kids.  We have never been there before so it was a lot of fun to see the historical buildings and walk through the "village" while it wasn't busy with crowds and tourists.  Although the buildings and demonstrations were closed, it was nice to take the train ride through the town.

The kids enjoyed walking through the museum.  Actually Carlee talked Andrew into giving her a ride.
We then drove downtown to visit the Museum of Church History and walk around Temple Square, visiting the Conference Center and the Visitor's Center.

It was a wonderful day spent in downtown Salt Lake City.
