More Silly Sleeping

Every night we deal with this in our household . . .

The kids get put to bed at 8:00 p.m. after getting into pajamas, brushing teeth, using the bathroom, getting drinks, saying prayers, reading scriptures and stories, getting tucked in with hugs, kisses, and songs.

One and a half to two hours later, the children are still awake because they have been wrestling, singing, playing games, reading, looking stuff up on the computer, playing their DSes under the covers, tickling each other, coming down to tattle-tale or complain about not being able to sleep, getting drinks from the kitchen because the "water tastes better", or moving around from room to room.

This has gone on for about 8 years now (some children have been better than others at certain times in their lives) and no amount of bribery, punishment, awards, etc. has changed it so now Joe and I just ignore our children and place bets on who is in what bed and what time they will finally fall asleep.

Here is what we found tonight . . .

I guess "Mockingjay" didn't have enough pictures for this one so she went right out.
A jumbled mess
Does anyone have any ideas on getting our children to stay in their own beds all night long?  We've tried just about everything, shy of beating them ;)
