7th Grade Awards Ceremony

Clark received his 7th grade awards and had such a great year!
Shaking hands with Dr. Lea, the principal, and then Mr. Davis, the new principal starting next year.
Clark's awards included: Presidential Award for Educational Excellence, Quality Counts, Citizenship

Clark also received the Teacher's Choice Award from Mrs. Smith, his Orchestra teacher.  It was such a surprise and he was so excited!
A funny story about Clark and orchestra . . .

One day, during class, Mrs. Smith had stepped out to answer a phone call and the class was just hanging out and talking to each other while waiting for her to come back.  So . . . Clark decided that rather than waste the time, he would stand up and conduct the class!  He stood on her podium and started waving his hands around to get the class to play.  They followed "the conductor" and played their assigned music.  A few minutes later, Mrs. Smith walked back in, smiled at Clark, sat down in his chair, picked up HIS cello and started playing with the rest of his class while following his conducting motions.  It was pretty funny and Clark was proud.
