Golf Camp

We signed our boys up for a golf camp at Nellis AFB this summer.  The camp was Tuesday-Thursday for two weeks and it included lessons, a brand new set of golf clubs, and a closing lunch with a certificate of completion.  The boys had a great time learning new technique, practicing their shots, and having one-on-one time with a golf pro.  I was there for their final day when they played on the course and received their recognition.  They made some great progress and had fun too.  Great job, boys!

Concert at the House of Blues

Tara and I took Katelyn, Lexi, and Adi to see Hot Chelle Rae and Demi Lovato in concert at the House of Blues in Mandalay Bay.  It was a great concert and we had so much fun.

 We grabbed some dinner at a burger grill in the hotel before heading to the club for the concert.

 

 Hot Chelle Rae performed hits such as "I Like It Like That", "Tonight Tonight", "Honestly", and "Whatever"

Demi Lovato gave a great show singing her hits, and playing the guitar and piano.  Her little sister even came out on stage to sing a duet with her.  And she did a great job as well.  Demi is a very talented musician and her voice is amazing.  I loved that the concert was moved to a smaller venue so that we were closer to the stage to see and hear her really well.  It was a great night.

See You Soon!

Katelyn's good friend, Aspen, was moving up to St. George in August so we threw her a "See You Soon" party.  Since she is just up the road 1.5 hours, the girls didn't want to officially say "goodbye" but they did want to have one last get-together and celebrate their friendship with Aspen.  All of these sweet girls have become very close through school, church, being in the same neighborhoods, playdates, late nights, and sleepovers so Aspen will definitely be missed.  But we know the future holds many weekend plans for get-togethers. 

The menu included Aspen's favorites--Fettucine Chicken Alfredo, breadsticks, watermelon, and sherbet cooler to drink.
